Coexistence

”Coexistence” had its premiere at the UR-NAT festival in august 2022.

Coexistence is a sensory journey through the very special natural area of Hoverdal Plantation in Ringkøbing-Skjern municipality. Here the audience is led through a magical world where large land art installations created from organic materials act as a sculptural setting for fanta- stic creatures; intersections between humans and other living things: plants, stones, trees, insects, animals, water, wind.

On nature’s green carpet, under the tall trees, energetic, poetic and musical scenes in which the participants live, dance, play, interact with each other and with the audience.

The performance is a collaboration between Antonella Diana, set designer at Teatret OM in Denmark, and Tatiana Cardoso, stage director and researcher at State University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. Two countries with very different experiences of nature and the climate crisis. Two artists with a common desire to highlight the fact that we humans are part of nature, not its owners. It is now we must wake up from our crazy sleep and realize, that the Earth is a vast living orga- nism crying out for regeneration.

Music and sounds created and performed live Håkon Berre.

Audience describes the performance as being beautiful, humorous, surprising and poetic.
