Som afslutning på UR-NAT 2022 præsenterer vi en storslået iscenesættelse af fortællingen om Kaptajn Ahabs jagt på den Hvide Hval. 

Scenografien udgøres af en stor bevægelig scene der undervejs tager former både som hval og som kolossalt sejlskib bemandet af 20 skuespillere og musikere med baggrunde indenfor teater, nycirkus og dans. Herman Melvilles klassiker Moby Dick fra 1850, får en kærlig krammer i denne opsætning.

Moby Dick er vinder i 2019 af Ubu Prisen, en af Italiens mest prestigefyldte priser for scenekunst, samt af Critical Network Award 2019. Kritikere fra hele Europa skriver om magi, poesi, rus og rytme i et stærkt scenisk sprog med et overbevisende og dynamisk ensemble. Forestillingens puls bæres af seks "Bottari", traditionelle trommeslagere fra Campania, Napoli, der giver takten på store trætønder. 

Opsætningen af Moby Dick på UR-NAT 2022 bliver en helt særlig forestilling opsat særligt til Hvide Sande. Som den største aktør er dog Industrihavnen i Hvide Sande med Vesterhavet som baggrund.

Teatro dei Venti fra Modena i Italien har eksisteret siden 2005. De har specialiseret sig i spektakulære udendørs produktioner med brug af stylter, kæmpemasker, fantasifulde teatermaskiner mm. Derudover arbejder de dedikeret med træning og undervisning indenfor fysisk teater samt med sociokulturelle aktiviteter. De har turneret i det meste af Europa og i Asien med forestillinger, der har vundet adskillige priser.

Det er første gang Teatro dei Venti gæstespiller i Danmark.

At the end of UR-NAT 2022, we present a magnificent staging the tale of Captain Ahab's hunt for the White Whale. Moby Dick is the winner in 2019 of the Ubu Prize, one of Italy's most prestigious awards for performing arts, as well as by Critical Network Award 2019. Critics from all over Europe write about magic, poetry, intoxication and rhythm in a strong scenic language with a convincing and dynamic ensemble. The scenography consists of a large moving scene that along the way takes shape both as a whale and as colossal sailing ship manned by 20 actors and musicians with backgrounds within theater, new circus and dance. The pulse of the performance is carried by six "Bottari", traditional drummers from Campania, Naples, who gives the beat of large wooden barrels. 

Herman Melville's 1850 classic Moby Dick gets a loving hug in this production.

The performance of Moby Dick at UR-NAT 2022 will be staged at Industrihavnen in Hvide Sande with The North Sea as a background.

Teatro dei Venti from Modena in Italy was founded in 2005. They specialize in spectacular outdoor productions with use of stilts, giant masks, imaginative theater machines etc. In addition, they work dedicatedly with training and teaching within physical theater as well as with socio-cultural activities. They have toured in most of Europe and in Asia with performances that has won several awards.

This is Teatro dei Venti's first guest appearance in Denmark.

This performance happens with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and the Italian Cultural Institute in Copenhagen.
